This is a one-day workshop to help you think through the legacy you will leave behind after living a life filled with moments of sorrow, joy, awe and wonder. We will map our lives out to get a bird's eye view, then explore a variety of ways to piece it together into one sensible package. Saturday, February 22, 9-5; lunch included. $125
Limited to five women. This sabbatical is at Muse Lodge, in the foothills of the Adirondacks in upstate NY. It starts at noon on Monday, June 8 and ends at noon on Friday, June12. The time will be largely your own, though we will meet for common meals at lunch and dinner. I will facilitate a daily circle that will last approximately an hour, where I will share a reading and a teaching. During the week, I will meet with each woman for an hour individually. We will explore whatever you choose to explore. During the week, I will also take a one-of-a-kind photograph of you that reflects the part of you you want others to see.

Vast numbers of people are leaving behind traditional religions for a spirituality rooted in the values of Jesus: contemplative prayer, acts of compassion, commitment to social justice. Individuals and groups alike are seeking new ways to pray, celebrate, and form community as old structures fall away for lack of relevance.
Twice daily meditation/prayer circle; two teaching sessions daily; kayaking, hiking, loon watching. Michael Morwood and Jan Phillips have been facilitating evolutionary approaches to spirituality for years through their books, workshops, and retreats. Their work combines Biblical scholarship, scientific research, the arts, and music to keep the brain and heart in constant communion.

We will ponder our next steps in light of the evolutionary changes we are experiencing in our religions and our faith. Is the God we knew relocating from the heavens to our hearts? What does it mean for us to act prophetically? What does it mean to be a mystic and what do we have to learn from them? How do we create conversations of consequence that are inclusive and inspiring?
Our bodies are waiting to be tapped for their wisdom, gained from every ordeal we have suffered or encountered. Every catastrophe has stripped us of something and given us something. The nakedness, we know. The gifts are yet to be unearthed.

Becoming a prophetic person starts with a spiritual practice. It moves from silence to thought to word and action. When our words and actions are rooted in our spiritual commitments, we become a light in the world and a force for good. This workshop is an entry point into our own wisdom. Using creative exercises, poetry, storytelling and video, we learn the secrets of mysticism and non-duality. We learn how to let go of the fears that have kept us silent and create a life that is full of purpose, spirit and prophetic power.
